More News About our Well Trained Realtors:

Recently twenty five of the leading REALTORS® in Baja California Sur completed a class that will lead to the National Association of Realtors® Designation RSPS. They will join 2227 other REALTORS® spread around the world.

The Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS) certification is for REALTORS® who specialize in buying, selling, or management of properties for investment, development, retirement, or second homes in resort, recreational, and/or vacation destinations.

There is a local spin to the Resort and Second Home Property Specialist Designation. It goes back to 2001. John Glaab and Linda Neil of Mexico were at the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) annual conference. After attending a session of the Rocky Mountain Alliance, a group of REALTORS® who specialize in second homes mainly in U.S. ski destinations and also in Alberta and British Columbia, John and Linda met with two NAR staff members. During a discussion with Jeffrey Hornberger and Jan Tarnow the idea to have a Resort and Second Home section of NAR was born. The next step would be to have the first Resort and Second Home Symposium. Los Cabos was selected as the site. In 2002 Jeff and Jan the two NAR staff members came to check out  Los Cabos. The result  --- the first ever RSPS Symposium was held in Cabo San Lucas in February, 2003. It was an outstanding success. Since then the annual RSPS event has been held I places as far flung as Cape Cod ad Hawaii, but those who came to Mexico in 2003 still rave about  that Symposium, the quality of both the educational and social events.

The RSPS class in Cabo San Lucas was organized by Global Mexico. In the past eight months more than 130 MLS BCS members have attended Global classes. To see schedule for future classes, please see  The next class in BCS will be the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) class. It will be in La Paz and conducted in Spanish on May 28 and 29.
